If you're a band musician looking for a place to play familiar music with a fun group of people, come check out a rehearsal (for a calendar of rehearsal dates, click here). Our season runs from September through June and we rehearse on Thursday evenings in the band room of Kyrene Middle School in Tempe (click here for a map). Rehearsals run from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We do not have a formal audition process - we invite you to sit in, play, then judge your comfort level for yourself. We traditionally focus on medium to medium-advanced level pieces as well as a few advanced pieces thrown in to keep us on our toes. The AFCB performs concerts for retirement communities, music festivals, park concert series or any other venue that is suited for a fun, casual concert experience. Our music is suitable for all ages, and we perform throughout the Greater Phoenix Valley as well as throughout the state of Arizona.
